Here are some photos from a couple of weeks ago....and a couple of hikes ago at this point. North backbone of Mount Baldy.....8 miles round trip? Piece of cake! 4,000+ elevation gain, 3 peaks to summit out and back in one day hike?!.....whoa!
The hike went something like this....climb up to Pine Mt (9648')...down to a saddle....climb up to Dawson Peak (9575').....down to another saddle.....and finally climb to Mount Baldy (~10,064'). Then, you turn around and do it all backwards.....down, up, down, up, down. You have to be in good shape and really love hiking to do this one. It is definitely not for everyone. I am not even sure we care to do it again :)
